IMPERIAL Logistics drives various Corporate Social Responsibility programs since 2001. In addition to a range of initiatives to ensure the health and safety of IMPERIAL Logistics’ own drivers, we are actively involved in various HIV/AIDS projects in partnership with the Road Freight Association and the National Bargaining Council for the Road Freight Industry.

The main focus of IMPERIAL Logistics lies with education and the combating of HIV/AIDS. We have set up training centres for truck drivers throughout the country and established 13 HIV/AIDS clinics that provide AIDS education, food and support for HIV/AIDS patients. IMPERIAL Logistics contribute R450, 000 p.a. to the clinics, situated in the main traffic corridors across South Africa, covering their running costs, staff salaries and equipment.

Further initiatives include:
• Phedišang support – a care centre and feeding scheme and for HIV/AIDS orphans in the Limpopo region
• Sponsoring and supply of transport for the Pick ’n Pay’s children’s day
• Support for Captain Crime Stop Programmes
• Support for golf days to raise funds for Circle of Hope, Women Against Child Abuse, etc
• Donations to the Red Cross, various hospices, old age homes, training of guide dogs for visually impaired    people
